Wow, don't know if you'll see this, I'm really late for your B'day. Hope it was good, golf makes all things good. Here is your life from 40-46, cuz thats where i am.40-42 no problem. Everything stays about the same. 43 you will notice dropping that extra 10 pounds doesn't just happened like it used to. 44 and 45 never had to suffer this much to lose weight, what happened. And why is hair growing out of my ears, and nose? Little aches and pains that use to make you proud because you knew you did something take on a whole new meaning too. hmmm, I wonder if it's serious? Younger women notice you still and smile, but your not sure if they are being nice because your attractive, or you remind them of Dad, or worse, Grandpa.    &nb

  If  you laughed at any of this, good. Keep laughing it keeps you young. Your doing well with seeing your doctor. And never stop excercising even when you don't want to. It really helps in keeping th BP and colesterol down. Gotta keep that heart rate up and breathing hard, and hopefully not from just rolling over in bed. MoLarryCheez will be young well up to 70 if he keeps running, it really does work. Thats all of your time I'm gonna waste for now, good luck and remember...Don't trust anyone under 30.

Just keep looking forward and don't look back. Keep setting goals for yourself. If you're in good shape, work to stay that way because your body will decline more quickly if you don't.

When I turned 40, I decided I'd prove I wasn't old by running my second marathon. I beat my first marathon time by about 30 minutes. Now I'm 47 and, despite nagging injuries, I'm running a 10K this weekend and plan to whip my 17-year-old son's butt!

I made a major career change 18 months ago and I'm probably happier now than at any time in my life. Smile, count your blessings, stay positive and you can be happy at any age!

 

My advice would be to lose that godforsaken GT logo showing up on your profile.  Your life will be instantly better bro'.

 

Thanks to all of you for your comments they were very helpful.  I enjoyed the slapping around Brat, (I meant on the face and not my buttocks but hey whatever, I still enjoyed it) and the "hummer" is always a great idea even though I do like the vette AV.  It is good to hear from those that have already made it to 40 so thanks for the words.  To those of you who are in your 20's you suck!!

I get a yearly physical and have since I was 35 and intend to keep that up.  My cholesterol jumped up within a year of turning 36 even though I didn't change my eating habits so I am on a statin for that.  My doctor says that is the only concern he has at this point so I am grateful for that and for being alive.  I had a great day on Monday.  I played golf so it couldn't have been a better day, unless the beer girl would have taken her shirt off or something similar to that. 

Thanks again for the good wishes on the 10th anniversary of my 30th birthday.

Well I am really having a hard time with this upcoming birthday and need to be slapped around a bit. By the way, I forgot to do this ... ::smack!::

Happy Birthday. I turned 45 last month.

Make the number mean something. Treat it like people do with a new years resolution. Think about what's important to you like work, family and self and prioritize so you don't overextend yourself. You've spent your whole life getting to where you can decide what you want your life to mean. If you haven't done it already, now is a good time to decide what that will be. People ask "what is the meaning of life" but they should ask "what is the meaning of my life". Time to find out.

You're not Superman any more so take your health seriously. Be very careful about what you eat and get physicals yearly if you're able. Set up a daily exercise routine if you don't have one and start playing team sports at least weekly.

Happy birthday, Jelly!  The old adage that "age is just a number" is one that you should keep in your heart along with your mind.  And remember, 40 is the new 30! 

As long as you're happy in your life, that's all that matters!

I'll be 41 11 days after.  Ya, it's just a number.  But do something special.  Go to a ball game.  Buy a motorcycle.  Ride a horse, whatever you always wanted to do.  Then don't stop.  Just keep doing those things.  One thing I did when I turned 40 was say, Why did I not do all the stuff I wanted to do?  And then just started doing it.  So rethink all your old inhibitions and just get out there and do stuff.

And that hummer don't sound bad either.
